*Job Description: *In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain automated systems and control software tailored to the Biogas industry.
Collaborating with engineers and other team members, you will develop solutions that leverage your expertise in Industrial Programming.
*Job Responsibilities:*
*Designing and Developing Automation Systems:* Creating Biogas-specific automation solutions, focusing on efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
*Programming Control Systems:* Writing and modifying code for PLCs and SCADA systems, including Aveva, Ignition, Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, and Codesys, following Object-Oriented Industrial Programming principles.
*Factory Acceptance Testing: *Verifying that all equipment and systems have been installed correctly and are in alignment with design specifications.
This includes checking the physical installation of PLCs, sensors, actuators, and other hardware components.
*System Calibration: *Ensuring that all sensors and measurement devices are accurately calibrated.
This is crucial for the precise monitoring and control required in Biogas systems.
*Site Acceptance Testing / Commissioning:* Running each component and system through a series of tests to confirm that they operate as intended.
This includes testing individual PLCs and SCADA systems, as well as the integrated operation of the entire control system.
*Safety and Emergency Systems Check:* Verifying that all safety and emergency protocols are functioning correctly.
This is critical to ensure safe operation, especially in the potentially hazardous environment of Biogas production.
If not experienced in the Biogas industry, specific training may be provided for job essentials.
*Optimization and Tuning: *Adjusting control parameters to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the system.
This step may involve fine-tuning PID controllers, adjusting setpoints, and modifying control algorithms.
*Documentation and Reporting:* Preparing detailed commissioning reports that document the testing procedures, outcomes, and any adjustments made.
This documentation is essential for future reference and compliance purposes.
*Training and Handover: *Providing comprehensive training to the operational staff, ensuring they understand the functioning and maintenance of the system.
The commissioning phase often concludes with a formal handover of the system to the client or operational team.
*Post-Commissioning Support:* Offering support and troubleshooting in the initial period following commissioning to address any operational issues and ensure a smooth transition to full-scale operation.
*Troubleshooting & Maintenance:* Providing ongoing support to ensure optimal operation of Biogas systems.
*Qualifications:*
*Education preferred: *Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
*Experience:*
2+ years of experience in automation programming and industrial control systems
Expertise in Object-Oriented Programming
Experience with any SCADA: Aveva, Ignition, FactoryTalk
Experience with any PLCs: Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, Codesys, Siemens, Bechoff
Experience with any programming languages: Java Script, Python, C++
Experience in Industrial Controls troubleshooting

*Communication Skills: *Excellent written and verbal communication.
*Travel: *Willingness to travel to Biogas client sites.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.
