*Job Description - Plant Electrician*
*Job brief*
West Biofuels, LLC is looking to hire a Plant Electrician for the renewable energy powerplant located in Burney, CA.
The facility is currently under construction for planned Commercial Operation Date in July/August 2024 so we are looking for an experienced electrician that can come on board and work with the construction team to assist in completing construction, electrical installations, serve as the plant electrical maintenance technician and participate in the startup and commissioning of the plant.
*Plant Electrician Job Duties*
The Plant Electrician will provide hands-on support to the power plant construction, operation, and maintenance.
Follows all site procedures, policies, and equipment instructions.
Supports plant operation responding to plant emergencies, occasionally requiring overtime on nights and weekends.

*Responsibilities*
• Working with and around different voltage levels.
(24V, 120V, 480V, 4160V and 12KV)
• Reading and interpreting technical documents including blueprints, P&ID, technical specifications, and equipment manuals.
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical controls, wiring, and lighting.
• Repairing and replacing electrical components including but not limited to circuit breakers, transformers, actuators, sensing equipment and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoots electrical issues and devices using proper electrical test equipment.
• Performs periodic maintenance on plant electrical equipment.
• Calibrates various plant supervisory equipment.
• Maintains accurate logs regarding plant repairs, periodic maintenance, and new equipment installations.
• Interacts with plant personnel as required to successfully complete tasks.
• Adherence to safety plans and standard operating procedures.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
Additional responsibilities:
• Assists with maintaining operating and maintenance procedures for the plant.
• Communicates with vendors and suppliers.
• Participates in company safety training and follows safety procedures.
• Occasionally operates plant equipment (forklift, generators, air compressors)
• Maintaining clean workspaces.
• Other duties as assigned.
*Requirements and skills*
• High School Diploma/GED
• Electrical experience with low, medium, and high voltage circuits.
• Familiar with and able to interpret National Electrical Code
• Ability to use various electrical related tools.
• Ability to install, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment.
• Experience with power generation a plus.
(DCS/SCADA and circuit breakers)
• Experience with construction and commissioning electrical systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and sit and stand for extended periods of time.
