Established in 2006, the HHSA is organized into four branches: Behavioral Health & Social Services, Public Health, Economic Mobility, with a centralized Administration Services.

ABOUT THE POSITION Under the direction of the Specialty Health Services Program Manager, plans, organizes, supervises and evaluates the activities of Public Health Nursing and other assigned staff providing public health services; acts as liaison with other divisions within the Health Department, with other provider staff and community agencies; works to provide, interpret, and improve public health services in the absence of the Specialty Health Services Manager; and perform related work as required.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS Positions in this class are distinguished from Public Health Nurse II positions by having the responsibility for directing Public Health services by providing leadership, responsibility, and supervision for the staff assigned to the team.
