We are actively hiring for an Account Manager, to join the InterWest Team, in our Commercial Lines Department! The Account Manager will provide oversight and services to the Northern California Schools Insurance Group (NCSIG) JPA, servicing approximately 125 member schools throughout Northern CA.
This position will enhance and solidify effective client relationships by providing exceptional customer service with a focus on client retention within the InterWest NCSIG Unit.
This position will be based in our Redding office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
* Assisting with the planning and facilitation of NCSIG board meetings and events.
* Website updating – review the NCSIG website, keeping it current and providing the members with access to the site.
* Experienced understanding of the insurance industry, the NCSIG specialty coverages and program, and the specific needs of the school clientele.
* Apply experienced knowledge and understand the extent and terms of the coverage offered.
* Understanding of various insurance policy types to provide Account Management for ancillary policies not included in the NCSIG Master Policy.
* Engage in the service process in tandem with the NCSIG JPA Manager and other NCSIG Team Members to successfully support the client by establishing best practices and meet the service expectations of clients in accordance with the Commercial Lines Standards, InterWest workflows and the NCSIG manual.
* Maintain current and accurate client data in the EPIC Agency Management System as well as the Access database used by the NCSIG program.
* Maintain timeliness and completeness of work when interacting with clients, agency, and carrier personnel to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims.
* Resolve issues relating to accounting or client billing.
* Perform NCSIG Program accounting or client billing tasks including preparing checks and deposits, utilizing Quickbook accounts.
* Review and process pending cancellations and final cancellations.
* Escalate client issues to NCSIG JPA Manager or Supervisor on client issues as appropriate.
* Provide needed information to clients, carriers, NCSIG JPA Manager and other NCSIG Team members.
* Gathering and providing account information as requested by program CPA’s & administrators.
* Adhering to significant NCSIG Program dates and deadlines.
* Participating in NCSIG Program events as well as seminars and other training to maintain required NCSIG Program understanding, skill levels, and industry knowledge.
* Meets annual continuing education requirements for renewal of Property and Casualty Broker-Agent License.
* Performs other duties as requested by the Commercial Insurance Supervisor and/or Commercial Insurance Senior Manager.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
*Education *– High school diploma required; some college level coursework preferred.
Three years Commercial Insurance Experience required.
Knowledge of, or experience in self-Insurance programs, TPA, or JPA is preferred but not required.
*Required Certification *– Current Property and Casualty Broker-Agent License
Starting compensation for this specific role _(all salary decisions are based on experience, skills, education, training, certifications and licenses, book of business assigned, and geographical location)_:
$47,500 - $56,100
