Hello there,
Would anybody be interested in fostering a shepsky puppy for 2-3 months? His name is Hunter and his birthday is Sept.
25th 2023.
He is not neutered yet.
He is amazingly smart and training him so far has been a breeze.
We are currently crate training him, which he can be a little whiney about at first but settles down quickly.
We have been teaching him to sit before he exits the crate and he sleeps in there at night.
Nipping has been slim to none.
Sometimes he can catch you with an open mouth when you're crouched down, but telling him no nipping stops him immediately.
He knows lay down and leave it better than sit, but he is working on it.
He is good with other dogs and cats, but can be a bit in their face until they or you correct him.
We are also working with him around our goats and teaching him to walk the fence line and bark if he sees anyone suspicious, which he is doing amazing with.
We would love if someone with a big yard or property can foster him and keep up with his training.
His previous owners wanted to see if he would be a good fit on our farm, but we didn't realize the legal limit at the time.
Both parties agreed to a trial run, but when it came time to take him back, she relinquished her rights of him and blocked me.
We believe he might have been hit due to heavy flinching whenever we would raise a hand over his head, but with slow, gentle pets that has quickly subsided.
We would love to keep him but we have to wait for my in laws to move out since we are currently at the legal limit for dogs.
If there is a way someone can foster him until we can take him back, I'd love to know.
We've had him for a few days now and he has been doing so amazing.
If you think you would be a great foster for Hunter, please text or email me.
Thank you!
