A 1974 reproduction of a ES 345.
I came to that conclusion by looking up the serial # on the pickups.
The solder on the pots have covered any numbers.
Heres the cool part they are Maxxon p/u's and a side note stated "if your serial number starts with a 1 then you have a very rare prototype".
.
.
well #14322!!.
The guitar is very well (Japanese Luthier) made ie; bound F holes, body and neck.
Neck is bolt on with the period correct split neck block markers and the tuners are upgraded Schallers.
I added the wheel number disc for the varitone, witch hat volume and tone knobs with a three way toggle switch.
Just for fun I got a water slide Gibson decal and applied it to the open book head stock that also has a nice inlaid crown.
This model emulates the Walnut model.
The hardware is gold and has really faded and tarnished.
Set up and cleaning to your taste recommended.
Actual Gibsons are selling for 3 to 6K.
Whether you collect Japanese repo's or want an affordable quality guitar this is it.
I will throw in a vintage
tear drop case by Yamaha.
