POSITION SUMMARY:
The associate teacher will assist the lead teacher with activities and learning exercises and help them maintain a friendly, inclusive atmosphere for all students.
Under the supervision of the lead teacher, an associate teacher will work with students to meet their individual learning needs.
An associate teacher will also help maintain student records of behavior and progress and keep parents up to date on their child's development and learning.
This job description is intended to identify some of the primary duties and responsibilities.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
High school Diploma or equivalent.
6 College semester Units in Early Childhood Education
A passion for early childhood education and helping children grow in positive ways.
Excellent communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Willingness to work beyond normal working hours and in other positions temporarily when necessary.
Is involved with personnel, visitors, and government agencies, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sits, stands, bends, lifts, walks, and moves intermittently during working hours.
Able to lift 25 lbs.
