Animal Care Tech/Transporter

The Animal Care Tech/Weekend Transporter: * Observes animals for health and behavioral problems, and documents for vet checks.
* Medicates animals as prescribed by veterinarian.
* Transports and labels animals scheduled for surgery or treatment.
* Prepares clinical paperwork for animals going to clinic.
The job includes handling animals that may be fractious, frequent lifting, bending, and stooping, exposure to irritating and toxic chemicals, a noisy environment, and transporting animals out of doors in all types of weather.
The shift is Friday 8a-5p, Saturday 8a-5p, Sunday 7a-4p, and Monday 8a-1p.
