California Adventure Camps is looking for enthusiastic attentive camp staff to lead, support, and motivate students as they enjoy all that California Adventure Camps has to offer.
All camp staff members should be upbeat, decisive, responsible, organized, dependable, and possess strong leadership skills.
Duties
:● Work with other camp staff members to maintain a positive, safe, and fun camp experience
● Lead, monitor, and support students as they participate in a range of activities & ensure daily schedule is kept
● Ensure the safety of students as they engage in camp activities and monitor students to ensure compliance with camp rules and prevent accidents
● Cleaning, maintaining and ensuring proper use of camp facilities and equipment as needed
● Reporting and recording details of incidents, such as accidents or rule violations, to parents and camp director/site coordinator
● Additional duties may include, but not limit to, student sign in and drop off, meal time supervision, attending off campus activities including ensuring camp lunches are brought when needed, and supervising bus rides
-Mandated reporter training will be required
-Previous experience in childcare, classroom, sports coaching, special education, tutoring, theater, or related fields is preferred.
First aid certification is a plus.
Requirements:
- Ability to work well with children of different ages and backgrounds
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to complete a TB test
-Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
-Travel for this camp (not all camps are out of the area)
-Experience playing/coaching basketball is a plus
\*\*Please note that this is a seasonal position with varying hours based on program needs.
Typical camp days are 9 hours.
The duration of employment may range from a few weeks to several months.
The specific schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
Candidate MUST be available to work March 17th-22nd and be able to travel out of town.
Rental cars are provided, staff will all ride together, hotel provided, travel pay, and per diem for food are provided.
