A local water treatment system company is looking for a Fabricator/Assembler.
This is a full-time, long-term position located in Redding, CA.
The ideal candidate will be dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
Qualifications -
* Proficient in GTAW of stainless steel.
* Can demonstrate the ability to work independently.
* Can demonstrate the ability to read and understand engineering and manufacturing drawings as well as manufacturing process instructions and safety policies.
* Can demonstrate awareness of using safety equipment, most importantly safety glasses.
* Can demonstrate the ability to properly use hand, power and cutting tools without damaging company property or product or injuring oneself.
Tools include, but are not limited to horizontal bandsaw, drill press, pneumatic tools and plasma cutter.
* Can demonstrate the ability to follow verbal instructions from supervisor.
* Can demonstrate the ability to follow written procedures accurately.
* Can demonstrate the ability to work under stress to meet production goals.
* Can demonstrate good communication skills with the team.
* Can demonstrate the ability to understand time constraints within production tasks.
* Can demonstrate the ability to keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe.
* Must have a strong attention to detail.
* Must have reliable transportation.
* Must have valid Driver License and a successful DMV check.
* Must be able to pass drug screen and pre-employment physical.
* Must have ability to pass industry specific background check.
* Forklift certification is a plus.
Responsibilities –
* Work area preparation and organization.
* Manual hand labor in assembly of product cabinets and panels.
* Layout and assembly of cabinet frames and components.
* Wiring panels in accordance with wiring diagrams.
* Labeling as required by manufacturing policies.
* Cutting stock per provided cut schedule on bandsaw or other appropriate means.
* Preparation and GTAW of Sheetmetal components and structural elements.
* Operating Orbital welding machine for welding tube and manifold assemblies.
* Post welding operations.
* System assembly including electrical and control panels and cabinets.
* Documenting and communicating changes with engineering.
* Communicating with other team members to provide valuable feedback and information relating to product quality, organization, and delivery.
* Will be standing for most of the shift and lifting up to 80 lbs.
* Possible other duties as assigned.
