Sign Installation/Fabrication Apprentice

We are seeking a detail-oriented, entry level sign installation and fabrication apprentice.
We are willing to train, you just have to have a positive attitude and aptitude/willingness to learn.
In this role, you will be required to help the Lead Technician ensure that the designs meet clients' specifications, prepare the signs for mounting, and manage the placement and installation of the signs, among other duties.
Help and work under Lead Fabricator for all general production of Steel, Aluminum, Foam and Custom Signage.
This position will produce and accurately fulfill orders in a fast paced fabrication environment.
This position includes but is not limited to, bending metals, painting, low voltage electrical layouts, welding, cutting, and building things from verbal or written instructions.
Fabricators often work with various materials that may require specialized tools, such as vinyl, wood, or metal.
Learn to become responsible for building the project to size specifications, including any electrical wiring and structural supports.

To ensure success as a sign installer, you will need to be highly organized and be comfortable working at heights.
Willing and capable of learning the applicable construction and installation techniques.
There will be a significant degree of customer interaction in this position, in which a professional demeanor and appearance are required.

Sign Installation/Fabrication Apprentice Responsibilities: * Loading and transporting signs, tools, and materials to the location safely.
* Help the Lead Technician in preparing the site for installation by removing old signage, preparing the surface or structure, and securing the electrical connections.
* Ensuring the effective measurement, placement, connection, and installation of the sign.
* Help with mounting and installing the signs in accordance with all safety protocols.
* Clearing debris and materials from the site after each installation.
* Help in performing maintenance and repairs to signs, as needed.
* Operating and maintaining the tools and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
* Fabrication involves laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring and welding metals to create the desired shape or object.
This is highly detailed work and you would be working directly under the lead Fabricator.
\*Qualifications: Work with hand tools such as drills, pop rivet guns, jig saw, tape measure etc.
* Follow detailed instructions and pay attention to details * Follow safety standards * Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
* Be a team player * Able to use and read a measuring tape and use basic math skills.
* Valid Driver's License * Maintain strong lines of communication with co-workers.
Accurately relay project details to management, as well as find solutions in the field.
* Adhere to industry standard safety practices.
Operate all tools and equipment according to specific safety requirements.
* Help perform general sign production duties.
* Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
* Keep shop / vehicles / customer sites clean and orderly at all times.
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes * Must be at least 18 years of age or older * Ability to work in Harsh Weather Conditions.
* Willingness to work during evenings and on weekends, as needed.
