Work in exchange for rent (Redding)

I am in desperate need of a place that I can live at in Redding CA (I will not move out of town away from my kid) in exchange for work.
Unfortunately, I don't have a vehicle anymore so unless someone has a vehicle I could work off, I can't go far.
I will not consider living rent free in exchange for any inappropriate activities or being someones new girlfriend, so please don't waste my time or yours with that nonsense.
I prefer to be by myself, but will stay in a room or shed or whatever.
Ideally if I could find a small one bedroom house that someone is willing to let me stay at and fix up the house and property in exchange for the rent to stay there, that would be perfect! I do have a couple cats that are extremely clean and well mannered.
I was wrongfully evicted from my home in July and everything's been hard ever since.
Being a homeless female in this town is unbelievably degrading because every weirdo thinks that if you're a homeless female that you must be a drugged out prostitute.
It's disgusting.
I'm a very good woman and I have self respect and integrity and I am 100% abstinent and I WILL NOT be changing this anytime soon.
