Long read, but want to be upfront on Luna.
We rescued 2 pit bull (crosses?) a few months ago.
They are about 8/9 months old now.
They were vet checked and started on shots worming etc.
They were mistreated.
One was painted with purple paint.
After they were healthy, we started contacting pitty rescues, dog rescues etc.
If any replied, they said they were full, most didn't reply back.
We have one spoken for, she has a heart murmur.
The other one is just fine.
Luna does not do well with cats, and is starting to not do well with our other dogs.
She is wanting to be alpha.
She doesn't bother our house birds.
She loves going on hikes.
She is a very hyper and energetic dog, and loves to snuggle on your lap.
She does fine with my 2 year old granddaughter, except for knocking her down when she first comes over to visit, once she calms down she is fine with her.
Both dogs have never got over from being starved, and will scarf their food down, and keep looking for more and will get into garbage looking for things to eat.
They will try to get in your lap to steal your food.
We never feed them from our hands.
She is not fixed, when we went to have them spayed, my husband had 3 emergency surgeries at that time, so it got put on the back burner.
She is leash trained, but not very well obedience trained.
We also have 4 other dogs of our own plus a farm.
She is current on shots and heart guard and nexguard.
They both are allergic to the normal dog shots.
So they need a split shot I think the vet called it.
She is potty trained, but if you don't catch her sitting at the door, she will go potty in front of the door.
She is crate and kennel trained.
We feed them in their crates
and they sleep in them at night.
So, we are looking for an energetic fenced home/yard, that understands rescues, and has time and patience to work with this lovely dog.
Preferably as the only dog, and a non breeding home.
Asking a rehoming fee.
Texting is the best way to get ahold of me.
