1981 Hondo model 1182 doubleneck bass in cream burst.
8 string and 4 string necks.
32 inch scale.
These were custom ordered instruments, built in Japan.
Previously owned by Jeff Ganz, the bassist for Edgar/Johnny Winter and modified by Roger Sadowsky in the 90s.
The Sadowsky mods include an added jazz pickup on the lower neck, Dimarzio pickups with a custom passive circuit by Roger Sadowsky.
Bass comes stock with 2 inputs to run stereo (2 amps) or mono (both necks into 1 amp)
Alder body, maple necks, rosewood fretboards.
Original brass bridges and nuts.
Both necks are perfectly straight with excellent truss rods and ultra low action.
Currently has Black Hipshot knobs, Hipshot ultralight tuners, Hipshot locking imperial tuners and Gotoh tuners.
These tuners were a direct replacement and required no extra drilling, ensuring the originality of the headstocks.
Comes with tweed OHSC, original chrome tuners, and a couple new sets of strings (8 & 4)
