Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the curriculum program
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to deliver instruction effectively
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and other assessments
- Provide feedback to students and parents on student performance and progress
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience for students
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
- Participate in professional development activities in a Charlotte Mason philosophical approach to education
Skills:
- Strong classroom management skills to create a productive learning environment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Proficient in proofreading and editing written work to provide constructive feedback to students
- Knowledge of instructional design principles to develop engaging and effective lesson plans
- Expertise in subjects such as organic chemistry, biology, or other specific areas of specialization
- Ability to conduct research laboratory activities or facilitate hands-on experiments
- Strong organizational skills for effective lesson planning and curriculum development
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
A teaching certification is also recommended.
