This class will help you learn the practical skills of sewing while discovering what it means to you.
Skills Learned: Operate the sewing machine Understand sewing terms Follow sewing instructions to create projects Sew straight and curved seams Hand sew a seam Cut out simple pattern Proper needles and stitch settings Basic and limited fancy stitches Hems Drawstring/elastic insertion Hand sewing/finishing Beginning Projects: Drawstring Bag Circle Pillow Pillow Case Additional projects (intermediate levels) to be determined by teacher based on student skill and time allowing No sewing experience required.
Fabric purchase by student.
