*ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN*

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE*
* Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager you will support finance, accounting, HR, and operations efforts.
* Your primary role will be to process payroll for permanent and temporary employees including taxes and retirement contributions, process accounts payable and manage detailed financial, HR and administrative records using Excel, accounting software, QuickBooks, and physical file records.
* In the first 90 days you will be trained on our basic systems and policies, how your role contributes to our overall success and be taught how to complete daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
* Learn and understand the importance of GASB accounting principles and how this is accomplished.
* Support employees with their benefits plans including holiday schedule, health insurance, etc.
* Ensure we comply with wage and hour laws and all labor laws.
* Within the first year you will support your manager in a CPA audit and biannual funder audits.
* Manage/coordinate/schedule outside vendors for HVAC, IT, Janitorial, etc.
* Perform routine office tasks and other duties as assigned.
*REQUIRED*
* Intermediate or advanced knowledge of MS Excel, email for business, and keeping electronic files.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll, accounts payable, administrative, or analyst roles.
* High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong sense of ethics.
* Associate degree in finance, business, accounting or similar field preferred, but not required.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Possession of a valid driver's license with valid automobile insurance.
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
