Medical Home Care Professionals is hiring an Accountant I for our ever growing agency!
The candidate is responsible for managing the transaction accounting and asset accounting functions of the organization, including general ledger management, accounts payable, payroll and financial reporting.
Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in accounting and/or financial management, and Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Job Functions:
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Perform journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Support month-end and year-end close processes and develop annual budgets
- Directs financial business operations and implements financial policies, accounting systems and cost controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and procedures
- Provide support for audits and other financial reviews
- Prepares quarterly and annual reports for federal, state and local agencies
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, CPA preferred.
- Preferably, three years' experience in health care accounting management, and/or in home care operations.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of corporate accounting principles
- Proficiency in account analysis and double-entry bookkeeping
- Prior experience in corporate finance or financial management is preferred
- Solid knowledge of technical accounting standards and practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Open position is full time and/or part time, Monday through Friday.
