Compensation: $25 - $40 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Maas Energy Works is the leading developer and operator of agricultural waste-to-energy systems in the United States.
The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas powered renewable energy generation systems on dairy farms.
Our projects include anaerobic digesters, biogas-powered electric generation, and renewable natural gas upgrading.
Position Description:
Maas Energy Works is looking for a highly capable Project Financing Specialist to support the CFO and Finance Team in acquiring funding for a variety of business objectives.
This will include working with bank underwriters to acquire construction and asset financing, coordinating with consultants and municipalities to obtain tax-exempt bond financing, refinancing renewable energy facilities across the United States into financing options that have a lower cost of capital, and facilitating investor communication and data requests.
The Commercial Lending Specialist must be comfortable reviewing loan/bond legal documents and have excellent communication and administrative skills to facilitate and lead conference calls to ensure the lender and legal teams are on track for a successful and timely financial closing.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a background in commercial lending, bond financing, or investment banking.
Candidates must be very comfortable and skilled at communicating over the phone and on video as you will be building and maintaining relationships with many consultants, state agencies, and financial institutions in California and throughout the United States.
Responsibilities:
• Work with CFO to develop and maintain financing plans for upcoming construction projects and asset acquisitions.
• Lead effort to obtain outside financing (bank, bonds, etc.
) in accordance with the financing plan for each construction project and asset acquisition.
• Coordinate with CFO and CAO to ensure the timing of outgoing construction costs coincides with outside financing.
• Build and maintain relationships with various Lending Institutions, Investment Banks, Consultants, and State Agencies
• Assist the CFO and CEO with private capital raises and ongoing investor relations
• Write project descriptions for financing partners which may include limited grant-writing.
Qualifications & Skills:
• 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, investment banking, or commercial lending
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Possess strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Highly proficient with Excel and Microsoft Word
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field a bonus but not required
